About Mrs. Mann...

Ms Annie Mann is in her 13th year of teaching at Bethany Public Schools. She is a 2004 graduate of the prestigious Oklahoma City University music school with a double bachelors in vocal performance and instrumental music education. While at OCU, she had the opportunity to study with renowned voice teacher, Florence Birdwell, tour China with the Oklahoma City University Symphony Orchestra, play for the opening of the Devon Boathouse, for the governor numerous times and serve as President of Sigma Alpha Iota, Alpha Zeta chapter. She also had the privilege of appearing on the OCU stage in 8 main stage shows and play in the orchestra pit for 2 shows. In 2012, she completed her masters of music education degree from the University of Oklahoma. During her tenure at Bethany Public Schools, the high school orchestra was an honor group for the Oklahoma Music Educator's Association state convention and the state superintendent's convention. Her awards and honors include 2013 all state orchestra chair, 2012 district teacher of the year, thunder teacher of the game, and nw expressway Chick-Fi-La teacher of the year. Ms. Mann also directs the all school musical at Bethany. Her past shows have included The Music Man, Bye Bye Birdie, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, The Sound of Music, Seussical, Annie Get Your Gun, Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma, The Addams Family and Cinderella. When not teaching orchestra and directing, she enjoys serving as service director at Crossings Community Church and spending time with her favorite people in the world, Trevor and Ellie! Ms. Mann is a member of the Oklahoma Music Educators Association and currently serves as vice president, orchestra division.
